A Bright Day After a Dark Night

Hello family and friends!

Well, we always say that the sun will come out tomorrow but we don't really think about it....but let me just say that the sun will come out! This week has been so much better and brighter!
First of all, Sister Carson went home today. Rest in peace Sister Carson!! Ah! And Elder Myers dies in like...1 week! Ah! He's on his death bed!!!! Soon I'll be saying to my companions...Rest in peace Elder Myers!
But hey, since when we took Sister Carson to the mission office today, since it was P-day and we were near Nashville we went and visited downtown Nashville today! It was schweet! We got to see the stadium and the Hard Rock Cafe (we didn't go in but we took pictures outside it) we walked around the main street and looked in the windows and we went and got T-shirts and it was just so much fun! Glad I got to see it! Nashville is sweet! We had these members take us: The Ewing's. They are so great. We seriously call them Mama and Papa Ewing. We love them to death. Sister Ewing is less active so we've been working with her to get her back to church but they are doing well!
Guess what? I did my first training this week in District Meeting! That was pretty scary! Okay, not really, except for the fact that one of the AP's was doing exchanges that week and so he was there! Ah! He's leaving in a month and I've only been out a month. Every time he's seen me since he says I did great but I'm like..."Um...yeah...I just got up there and rambled so I don't even know what you are talking about..." Anyway...that was fun.
The Minters!!! I can't believe I didn't say this first! They are totally over whatever they were thinking. We went over there after they were texting us and telling us that they were fine now and they told us of some amazing experiences that showed them that God was there and that they were in the right church. Also, they realized that ALL church have opposition, not just this one. Whew....now we are just working more with Jay and Lauren to be baptized. Jay is having trouble believing the things we teach him, like how Joseph Smith is a prophet and saw God and whatnot. He's been reading the Book of Mormon and praying a bit but hasn't felt any different. Of course, he is really difficult to talk to because he is a man of VERY few words. Like....very few. We just talked to him about feeling the Spirit and stuff and we have been praying super hard that he will be able to recognize it!
So remember Roger? He's doing alright. We went back there and he was just like, "I will probably read the book but y'all probably don't need to come around here to talk to me about it." So we kept talking to him and by the end I know he was feeling the spirit again because he was more open. And, he told us that he can't come to church on Sunday because he works but he said to us that if he found out that this church was true then he would switch jobs to be able to come to church. SWITCH JOBS!!!!! He's very confusing and we keep praying that he will just keep reading the Book of Mormon!!
Bill is doing so good! He's kind of confusing because he just readily believes like everything that we say and he says he wants to be baptized but he like won't come to church or anything. And we aren't sure if he is reading. He says he is but he can never remember what he read about or where he is. We won't stop going though! We just keep praying that he will become more invested in this church and really have the desire to learn more!
Yesterday we went tracting and got 3 new investigators! It was insane! One of them was this super nice guy named Tanner and he was super open to what we had to say and even though he already "has a church" he was super willing to let us come back in a couple of weeks (after he gets married) and talk to him and his wife about it more! One of them said they had been looking for a church that they could go to and she said we could come talk to her more about it! Insane! I don't really remember much about that other one but it was such a good tracting night! Wahoo!!

I don't really have many other stories to tell or anything. We had a nerf gun war last week at a members house for P-day with the STL's and that was so much fun! We were dying laughing like the whole time. (Mom, I hope you post the picture with this letter if you didn't post it last week.) That was at Michelle and Joshua's. Michelle is like our mom. We don't really call her that but she pretty much is. And Joshua is like a younger brother. They are so funny.
It's seriously been a crazy week. We've been getting Sister Carson packed up to go home and we have been trying to visit people so she can say bye so that's been crazy! it was pretty sad to say goodbye to her...and it's going to be an adjustment...the only thing I've known so far on my mission is a trio so it's going to be weird to just have the 2 of us.
Well, that's all for now I think! I love y'all so much! Please feel free to write! I've only been gone a month and so I still exist! Haha I'm just joshin ya. But really though. You never realize how much missionaries love letters until you are a missionary.....
Love ya! Have a fantastic week!
Love,
Sister Myers
P.S. Actually I don't have my camera card so I am going to send the pictures of Nashville next week! Love you all!!!
When it rains it pours...and maybe floods a little bit.  And Nerf wars are fun!
